Days out at sea provide an indulgently lazy way to see some of the dramatic coastline as you cruise around the local bays in a traditional Turkish Gulet, occasionally anchoring in a clear turquoise bay for an all-important swim stop. A home-cooked lunch on board and a glass of something cold completes the day perfectly.

And when the sun goes down, you can even take a trip on a Gulet for a romantic moonlight cruise and dine out at sea under a brilliant starry sky.

If you fancy combining a bit of ancient history with a laid-back day on board a Gulet, then why not take a boat trip to Kekova - the sunken Lycian city which was devastated by an earthquake centuries ago and has been submerged ever since.

For the more adventurous, you can even try kayaking around the ruins at Kekova - for a much closer look at the past.

Kalkan also offers some great scuba-diving, with interesting dive sites and very high quality visibility - making a wonderful location for beginner divers as well as those who are more experienced.

There is also a choice of water sports available - from water-skiing, parasailing, and jetskis to a quick session on the banana boat or the ringos to keeps the kids entertained.
